I’m Andrew Johnson. I work at Eastern Connecticut State University and it’s a public liberal arts university in Connecticut. Cyber security is important to us here at Eastern primarily because we have populations of students, faculty, and staff to protect from malicious actors and we worked with Vancord specifically because in-house staff is difficult to maintain, especially in a higher education sector.
Vancord was great to work with. They were responsive and accommodating throughout the project life cycle and displayed an impressive depth of understanding as security experts. The pen test itself was entirely transparent to our end users while remaining thorough in its scope.
At the end of the day, Vancord was able to reveal more actionable vulnerabilities during our week-long engagement than our EDR and vulnerability tooling has in years. I would absolutely recommend Vancord to other businesses. It was great working with them.
I was very impressed as an IT professional with their depth of knowledge. It was the breadth and depth of the scope of the report was phenomenal and it was great working with the staff that we worked with. They were on one hand candid but on the other incredibly professional in the way that they relayed the report details and laid it all out for us.
